Hi guys! I’m a filmmaker and a long VFx enthusiast. I am about to self produce and direct a one minute short film set inside a car and I need some help in deciding the best way to do it and what kind of specialisation should I look for in a VFx artist for the same. The film is simple. There are two characters in a car talking to each other while the visuals outside a change from a picture-esque green valley view to a dystopian poverty ridden future. Should I go for virtual production and have these environments in Unreal engine? Or should I shoot it smartly with green screen and then replace it with 3D renders of the environments or replace it with footage? Also, how should I brief an artist for what the scope of the work is?
